About the Artist and the Work

Simon Edwards has always held a keen interest in art and studied

up to degree level completing 3 years of a part time  art degree with Cleveland college of art and design in conjunction with Sunderland and Northumbria Universities - he was unable to complete this due to work commitments and has more recently returned to painting and started to exhibit. Previous exhibitions include the Redcar contemporary gallery exhibition (2022) and their summer exhibition (2023) and the London urban art fair Brixton in both 2022 and 2023.He currently has a work in the Redcar Palace open call “Feline-thropic” and has been a successful entrant for the 2024 Urban art fair in London.

This is a somewhat disturbing/dark view of the potential continued

effect that industrial processes around the world may have on the environment and humanity. The work is the culmination of a long process  including a series of views/thoughts and preparatory work to reach the final submission. This work will be presented in a contemporary grey box mounted frame with strong double ‘D’ hanging clips.all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
