OUR RESPONSE TO THE COST OF LIVING CRICIS: REDCAR, WE HELP EACH OTHER

TRANSFORMATIONS - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN!

Weathered Victorian Building

Stood here over a century, loved by previous owners but the building was seeking some TLC.

Repointing the Facade

Grateful to the council's small business grant that made it possible to repoint the facade and make the building look 100 years younger.

Neglected Plant Pot/Rubbish Bin

Two Council planters, which weigh tons but sadly never looked after. They have become a big eyesore and people use them as rubbish bins.

Adding Colours

We saved the old hardwood window frames. A bit worried about the idea and a reception of it, but council straight away gave the go ahead and colourful window frames were welcomed by the neighbours.

Revealing Layers of Changes

Stripped wall paper land removal of  paneling and a false suspended ceiling revealed changes through time. 100yrs of dust rained down together with chunks of a Victorian plaster ceiling.

Hard Work

After removing huge industrial scale ducting, 100s of metres of tangled wires and cables, wallpaper, panelling as well as skirting boards; lots of  repair work followed with the gallery space finally taking shape.
